Very strange penny

    I just got this penny as change from a store. Im guessing its maybe a novilty coin but thought to be sure id post it. It weighs 2.50g the medal is hard and looks like ... well I dont know what it looks like... a dirty silver . Im on the road and can post better photo later tonight if needed.... thanks for any help.

    It's a Dryer Coin. Damaged when it got stuck between a clothes dryer drum and wall. Please don't Drive and create threads!

    I was in passanger seat although I am driving now (in line at KFC) and I do thank you for responding and the info.

    the dirty silver color is zinc. since 1982 our cents are made from zinc with a very thin copper plating.
