Snowman ( or anyone) Does anyone know what the value of the Cherrios Lincoln Cent is? Thanks I noticed that on eBay they can range from $5 to $16. Any guess as to the 'real' value?
I don't disagree, but then that is the way that I feel with most modern coins. However, I have 'acquired' one (paid a massive buck) and just want to dump it. At a giant profit of course.
Cheerios cent in my range is worth about 3-9 dollars and of course that is in the black Cheerios shrink wrap holder and a few more dollars in reputable graded holder if taken out of the sealed package the value drops off significantly down to .01 cent
This would definitely be the coolest thing to find. I don't regularly search Sacs so my odds aren't so good
Being reasonable. The most Desirable coin to find and for it to be valuable would be a MS-XX coin in roll searching. I know that's boring, but, you can now suffer with my wife....
Realistically, I'm happy with whatever I find, that way I'm never disappointed. Currently, I'm working on the following books that I expect to finish with coins pulled exclusively from circulation 1938 to 1962 Jefferson Nickel. This book is currently missing 6 coins 1938S, 1939D, 3 silver (don't remember dates off the top of my head) and of course the 1950D. I expect that in my lifetime at the volume I go through I have a good chance of finding the 1950D from circulation. 1948 to 1963 Franklin Half. I'm only missing 7 coins from this series. There aren't any particularly rare dates in this series, so I expect I will probably complete it before the Jefferson Book. 1937 to 1947 Walking Liberty Half (or Liberty Walking depending on your preference) I have this book about 60% complete again exclusively with finds from circulation. also, I'm very happy everytime I find a 100+ year old coin.
I know, but i'm not going to hold my breath. In the last year i've found two silver quarters in circulation. One was a '41 i got in change and the other an AU '56 i found on the street (but unfortunately run over by a few cars)
ah... the most desirable coin for me.... it would surely be a Rani Parvathibai 8 cash copper coin from the princely state of Travancore...
A walking liberty half in F condition.. like the one that that stupid bank teller pulled out of the till and kept when I asked for all the halves. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I bring her all my searched presidentials now.. thousands of them HA!! Realistic though, any PROOF coin.. or any rotated die coin. I keep looking and only have 1 proof to claim as actually found.
