I was just curious how many of us (I'm guessing all) have a request for that special numismatic item on your Christmas list this year. I always recieve something that is coin related every year. Is there a book that you've been wanting or that coin down at the coin shop you've had your eye on? I know that every one of us here wants something for Christmas to add to our collection. Share with us what you have on your list and what you've been too nervous to ask your spouse or parents for. I told my wife that all I want for Christmas was one cent. She kind of looked at me like, yea, whats it gonna cost me..lol. I told her, all I want is a 1914-D Lincoln and I wont ask for anything else until my birthday!! So, I'll let you know how I make out.
After getting last year's present in September, I started early this year. This is at least part of my present - just won it tonight.
I'd settle for a copy of "Looking Through Lincoln Cents" for this Christmas. She'd never buy it for me though. I'll probably just get new socks instead. Woohoo!

My wife and I have been married for 18 years now and in that time I have received two coins. An 1818 Bust Quarter (G4) and a common date Morgan that my dealer knew I would like. Coins are basically off limits at Christmas BUT I am hoping for a decent camera so I CAN TAKE PICTURES of coins. Been real tight though so we'll see.
well i wouldnt trust my family to buy me a coin by theirselves but i will have money to buy coins from them and my top prioty is a buffalo nickel proof
I am VERY doubtful my wife will be buying me any coins this year. BUT, I think she might be buying me a safe. I'm not sure yet. I'm going to see if my mum will get me the Red Book 9th Ed. of Judd's "United States Pattern Coins."
There is a fine line of what I want, and what my family can afford. I pretty much know I am not getting coins for Christmas, but can always wait and see! Phoenix
My family won't buy me coins either. Perhaps Santa is listening.............. or one of you guys....................... 1866 shield nickel in mint state 1851-O silver 3 cent piece in mint state Complete set of Eisenhower dollars (all uncirc and proof) pre-1800 silver coin (any denomination)
i dont ask for anything numismatic for the holidays. Nobody in my family understands the hobby, and one the one or two occaisions they did branch out and try, they ended up getting burnt on a gimmick or nasty AG-1 coins. I save all the buying for me
Nothing Numismatic for me. Shirts, socks, pj's, crossword puzzle book, sudoku book are the norm. My wife avoids anything to do with coins or tools.
