Continue with Turkey, or go back to "two-headed", as you prefer.

Sometimes I feel confused about "toning" on coins. An old copper or bronze coin gets a chocolate brown with age and lots of handling. A silver coin might get black with tarnish. Is that all considered to be toning? What if a coin has a lot of green verdigris or environmental damage, is that also toning? Some of the UNC specimens I see with rainbow colors call themselves "toned" and just look artificially gaudy to me. I like a good, honest look to a coin, ya know? Now that previous Indian Head Cent is a beauty, not besmirching that one at all. 1854 O US 50 c obv.JPG 1854 O US 50 c rev.JPG 1884 US 1 c obv.JPG 1884 US 1 c rev.JPG

I always think of toning as the color spectrum of the rainbow. And I also think
that "Toning" is a colorful word for "Patina", which seems more fitting to copper coins with all the hues of chocolate.
