I am still green to Coin hunting but think I may have found something. I found this in pocket change and no proof mint sets. Would love some feedback from more experienced coin hunters.

Like Paddy said, it's not the type you were hoping for, but everyone has to start somewhere. If willing to look at it the right way, what this experience really means it that you're further ahead and more knowledge than you were earlier this morning.
The first thing you would probably notice about a proof coin (even one that has been in circulation) is the condition of the background or field. Proof coins have very smooth fields even after they lose the mirror finish. If you don't see a mirror finish or very smooth fields, you probably don't have a proof.
That, my sir, is a completely normal penny. I suggest you learn a bit more about varieties/errors/the characteristics of proof coins vs business strike coins before you go hunting through change for stuff like this. The 1990 no-s proof cent is distinguishable due to its mirrored surfaces. Your cent does not have mirrored surfaces. There is a pretty significant difference. Anyways, happy hunting and I hope you find something cool soon! Cheers.
