Just wait a few more weeks and we'll see some newb insist he has found a 2017-F cent, right here in CoinTalk.

"Hipster"? I'm not sure if I should thank you for cutting years off of my age, or damn you for an insult.

Always take the compliment when given the choice!! We'll all be waiting for the fabled F coin. You heard it here first. And now, the rest of the story...

A plain punch, a small ball peen hammer, and a 2017-P cent, and VOILA, 2017-F cent.

Hey kurt make one so we can see if we can tell its a fake. Real not photo shopped :) I have never started a contest, but this is interesting. Maybe I will even try it. I will scratch a "fake" on the obverse if I do . Seriously this is one of the most practical suggestions I remember you making :)

I'm afraid that since my stroke, the right hand would "kill" too many cents from being a tad too shaky.

My LHC collection ends wherever my Whitman Volume 2 ends... around the early Seventies, IIRC. Some coin seller sent me one of those 2017 error LHCs as a lagniappe so I stuck it in one of those cardboard flips.

Yeah but, is the mint mark the first or last element added to the CNC coding which engraves the Hub?

Currently it sounds like it is early on in testing the design

If there is a 2017-P cent that has a bit of grease on the mintmark, it would be possible to have a 2017-F, or a 2017-D, Micro D.
