    Hey,

    Newbie here.

I am trying to find out what years that the us mint produced
silver proof sets in 90% silver.

I know that they were produced from 99 to present.

    I am only interested in 1970s, 80s, and 90s.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Ed

Hey, welcome to the forum. Since 92 they've been making silver proof sets.

They also made a silver proof and uncirc, in 1976 - but they were only three piece sets - Ike dollar, Kennedy half and Washington quarter.

unfortunately though, all of the silver coinage made during the 1970s was made in a 40% silver alloy, not a 90%.

All proof sets prior to and including the 1964 set are 90% silver. The US Mint also has issued 90% silver proof sets from 1992 until the present. There are no 90% silver coins between 1965 and 1991, only specially packaged collector coins in 40% silver clad.

You are right of course, I did not notice that the poster was looking for strictly 90% - my mistake.
