1858-O 50¢ graded XF45 by PCGS. From the era of James Buchanan - not too far from Lincoln and the Civil War... this thing has seen some turbulent times...

I'm just going through some odds and ends from a collection I purchased a few years ago, primarily for the silver rounds. But there are a few interesting coins. This is a bust half. I know little about halves so any help concerning attribution and grade would be appreciated.

    O-101, I'd say VG-08. Can't tell if it's cleaned from the photos.

I like the edges of coins though they are rarely photographed.

Just one more as a possible presentation standard:

I’d call it F-12. Not home for an attribution. I think the pic color is throwing it off as I see just honest wear

These are the same coins I started collecting about 1964. There were a lot more of them then. I looked through hundreds looking for the small date 60 and 60-D. Back then I didn't need a 50" screen to see them.

PLease pardon my trip down memory lane, but I remember one of my friends telling me they found a 1968-D and my not believing them because I KNEW that they had stopped putting the mint marks on coins in 1965. When I saw it, I thought it was an error! I had all the neighbors looking at their pocket change or more likely their parent's pocket change.

Here are a couple of other Halves and the 35 without side LED lighting which cast a copper haze I hadn't noticed photographing Large Cents. These are with just the lasers in the electronic microscope I use.
