    Just in, Fatimid Rulers of Egypt
    AV Dinar AH504=1110AD Misr (Cairo) mint
    Caliph Al-Amir 1095-1130 (around time of First Crusade)

    What is the quality of gold in a coin like that? Beautiful - looks BU!

    The gold content at this time in Fatimid coinage was around 24 carat/ .999+

    The coin came from a small hoard, this example was GEM MS:) I think all the coins were from Al-Amir diff. dates.
