I'm currently looking through a hundred or so 1961D dimes. I'm looking for the DDR variety.

I'm not seeing doubling in the right places yet, but I HAVE seen something that kind-of looks like doubling on about 5 or 6 of the D mintmarks. At first I just thought it was a PMD dent at the bottom of the D but it's identical on each coin. It looks weird for a doubling, and I'm wondering if that's what a repunched mintmark looks like?

Yes,yes, I know you all want pictures. I can't upload them right now but I can in a few hours probably. In the meantime, does anyone want to hazard a tentative guess? Does that sound like an RPM? I'm not seeing it as a variety anywhere, but maybe no-one really cares enough to list it is all.

I know this post was awhile back. I found one (pics below) 1961 d. I seen a video on YouTube from coin opp & the pic on variety. Does anyone know anymore about this coin?
