I agree. However, if the mint doesn't, a certain someone else likely will, at least if history tells us anything.
If they made the new Peace dollar in 90% silver and have it out there for a face value of $1 it would be a mighty small coin.
I think that a 6 coin Commemorative one dollar set, a Morgan and Peace design from P, D, and S mints would be appealing to me.
I'd like to see a silver SLQ than the Peace dollar. Not sure why they didn't in 2016 along with the gold one.
Legal restrictions. It would've required an act of Congress. And Congress already has a full plate of things to not accomplish.
2021 Peace? How about a special proof in SILVER, not gold, for collectors. And with a high enough mintage limit to give somebody besides the flippers a chance to get it. Perish the thought!
Oh, now you went and said his name. I believe he said as much -- that he planned to do something Peace-related in 2021 to mark the centenary.
the v in trust was to symbolize v for victory after WW-I, from what I understand. I probably buy one if the mint comes out with one
It is actually a misformed Y. And based on the current popularity of dollar coins I would have to guess that if they produced anything at all it would be a PM token imprinted with the word ONES DOLLAR, sort of like ASEs or AGEs.
