Well, when I recently started my collection, I was only going to buy silver coins that I like. As stated in a couple of my earlier posts, I am on an old age budget and just buy what pleases me. I am not trying to get a complete set of anything. I have three requirements for my purchases. 1. Do I like the coin? 2. Can I afford it? 3. Do "I" think it is fairly priced?. May be the wrong approach but that is just me. I love getting on ebay and comparing prices and pics before I purchase. That is part of the fun for me. Well, today and yesterday I have been looking at the Buffalo Nickel postings. Yep, they got me. LOL. Now I have added them to my addiction. Purchased a few in the very high $1.00 -$3.00 each range. LOL. 1923/1928/1928-S/1937-S. Have fun folks and God Bless. Mike in Missouri
I have lost my mind. I need to get off this dang computer. Just picked this one up for $2.99 shipped. May have paid to much, but it is a beautiful coin that caught my eye.
Buffalo nickel -- great classic design! Understandable that you'd want some. But like you, I prefer silver coins. So when it comes to 20th century nickels I collected a complete set of MS66 War Nickels (1942 - 1945). They're 35% Silver. And mostly affordable -- even high-grade slabs.
Hey @GUNNER63736 I collect ONLY circulated cents from 1930 to 1982. How much lower value can you get! So your budget is much higher than mine. Lol. If it makes you happy.....GO FOR IT! Reed.
Dang it. You guys need to stop it. Now I am going over to ebay to look at silver war nickels. PCGS of course. LOL. That is a nice specimen. Thanks for giving me more wants. LOL.
