I love CRH...found 1943 penny

    Hello everyone,

    I found this 1943 steel penny, I know it's not in good shape at all but it's just the idea that it is a 1943 steel penny I guess. It weighs 2.6 and I did the magnet test and sure enough it stuck to it. Yahoo!! Just wanted to share.

    I LOVE COIN ROLL HUNTING!

    You should try the Ice Cream test.. If Lincoln licks the Ice Cream then It's fake.. If he doesn't then It's real! :happy:

    Ice cream roll... yum...

    Nice find! One of my pocket pieces right now is a 1943-S, EF details but rusty. I don't remember if it was a CoinStar find or change from a self-checkout machine.

    I think you would be better off if it didn't stick to a magnet.
    But the color is the give away.
    Always nice to find a steelie. They made a ton of them and they are still
    out there. Pulled out 2 from Coin Star, but worse condition than yours.
