    Hello everyone.
I am tired of watching u tube stuff about penny cleaning. I am a metal detector person at heart and have pennies that are in pretty bad condition. You probably have seen the question I am about to ask many times, but here goes. What works on cleaning pennies? Getting the grungy stuff off. I respect all of your opinions as you have helped me greatly in the past.

I soak really dirty ones in olive oil. I use Coin Care and a q-tip to clean less soiled cents. Be sure to let them dry well before placing in a 2X2. Good luck

Unless you have found one of the big kahunas, I don't think it makes any difference what you use to clean them.

    What say you @paddyman98 ?

Really hot running water then a quick scrub with a medium bristle toothbrush. I just went metal detecting and I am about to start cleaning my finds.
Almost 95% of coins found at the park and beach are normal circulated coins. If you find silver, wheats or foreign coins just separate them from the rest.
