Do you know for sure they are? I ask because B&L sold everything except eye care products and contact lens to Bill Ackman and Valeant ( Canadian Co.) Pharmaceuticals in 2013 and I can not find that they acquired the manufacturing plant, I suspected Valeant would import the lens now ( they do own the brand name for them) and brand them B & L . Amazon is labeling some as

I recommend a two-lens folding magnifier with a wild field of view for coin work. It will give you three levels of magnification (a stepwise zoom), and you can see a lot of area at once. The cheaper one (~$25) is the Baush and Lomb with 4X, 5X, 9X magnification; the better quality one is the Eschenbach Precision with 4X, 6X, and 10X magnification (~$100). Despite their wide field of view both are compact and easy to use. Both are available from Amazon and elsewhere. I have an old B&L 3X, 4X, 7X that I've used for years, but don't think it's available anymore.

I use higher powered triplets (10-20 X) with a narrower field of view for gem work, but find lower power and wider field more useful for coins.
