For a collection? Capital gain. For monetary gain? open to interpretation.......and market demand.

It depends upon what he paid but I can tell you for an absolute fact that these are quite rare and quite expensive.

According to PCGS on AU-55 it's a $360.00 coin. Sorry buddy but that's not rich in my book. It's a nice coin and a small value but not rich.

A little bit better was Heritage Auction's April 2017 @ $1293. and September 2016 @ $2485. both PCGS MS63 a couple grand is nice but still not getting rich from that. Heritage also had an auction in August 2017 for an AU58 that realized $400

Not only NO FG, but no Eagle either. Is it a over polished die or is it over polished?

I posted this 1977 D "No FG" about a year ago. I believe at the time it was the only one found. I may be wrong on that point. Do you think it would be worth sending in to be graded? 1313384794401.jpg 1313384797545.jpg 1313384811335.jpg

You can send it in but it will NOT receive a No FG Designation from the TOP TPG's that use the Cherrypickers Guide as their "Go To" source.

    ANACS might do it.

    "Rich" being relative.

Come tot think of it, there simply are not any coins out there that are going to make ANYBODY "Rich" unless you're digging up 100 year old gold in your backyard.

Out of curiosity, why wouldn't it receive a No FG Designation?
Not thinking of the money part, just thought it might be something special to have designated.

As I read it he is saying that if it is not listed in the Cherry Pickers Guide they will ignore it even if you ask them to notice it. You'd have to ask the TPG companies themselves why they do that.
