Came in yesterday from France, coin was found 150miles from Lyon , the place where it was minted 2000 years ago. Seller accepted my Best Offer for $75 (copper plate not included) I like the colourfull patina. Please show your Tiberius bronze coins, thanks
Nice @Andres2 ! Good value. I dunno, that is pretty close to @Cucumbor ... maybe he dropped it! You might have to return it to him... My AE Tiberius: RI Tiberius AE As 14-37 CE Laureate-Pont Max Globe Rudder RIC I 58
Wonderful coin-- nice price! Here's a bronze of Tiberius which was also purchased for a relatively low price. It was the first Dattari Collection lot in the first Naville sale in which they started selling the Dattari coins. The auctions don't have a timed closure so I probably just got lucky on this one... other bidders hadn't noticed that the Dattari section had arrived. Bidding grew exponentially after that and I was shut out of all my main and secondary targets in that auction. EGYPT, Alexandria. Nice coin and nice presentation. But allow those Gallic barbarians into the Senate when just a few generations earlier they were fighting against our Caesar? NEVER!
Attractive colors on that patina, and I've always liked that reverse. Everyone tired of seeing my Tiberius denarius I got last year? Well, to bad. Here it is again!
