I want to start a little project and I need toned Morgan images. You don't have to own it but please post anything you wish if you want to share thanks!

Well, IMO this is THE greatest, most beautifully toned Morgan dollar extant. It now resides in a PCGS MS68+ (CAC green bean) holder:

I bought this Battle Creek Morgan from SkyMan about 8 years ago. It doesn't have the rainbow colors other BC Morgans have, but I love the pastel colors.

Personally, I like the look of that obverse over the rainbow toned ones MUCH better. That is a stunning Morgan!! I wish there was a love button.

 

Some more of my favorites. As you can see, I favor the copper toning. My favorite is the 1878 8TF MS64. When you rock the coin it becomes quite beautiful.

That was the first coin I thought of.

Kinda surprised it upgraded again. It stayed in a PCGS MS-67 holder for the longest time even after a few dozen resubmissions. I guess they don’t care about consistency anymore.

 

My favorite and only toned Morgan. It is a part of the core collection that will never be sold.

 

I'm pretty sure it used to be in an old ANA 68 holder too before crossing to PCGS 67 then upgrading over time there. It's tough to judge the surfaces hiding underneath deeply toned coins (I learned the hard way on one of the few times I tried dipping a coin) and for some reason I guess they switched from not giving the benefit of any doubts they had to giving the benefit of the doubt. Sure looks like a 68 to me but who knows what marks would show up after a dip not that it would ever happen.
