Now, now, children ! Play nice or the babysitter will have to step in - and nobody's happy once that happens ! So no more name calling - from anybody !!
What? How on earth is a warning like this even HALFWAY appropriate in THIS PARTICULAR context? All I see here is self-deprecating humor. What are you seeing that I'm not? Are you feeling okay, Doug? Are you having a stroke? I ask because, you know, been there, done that. Doug, maybe I'm just missing a "too dry for me to get it" part of your sense of humor, but IF you're being serious here with this warning, I am GENUINELY concerned for your mental health.
I was not speaking to you Kurt. I was speaking to the two who were calling each other names ! And no I didn't quote them because quoting them merely repeats the offense and makes it worse than it was to begin with.
Looks like plastic kitchen film/wrap + cellophane tape = not a good combo of materials for silver coin storage. Hard plastic capsule or PVC-free plastic flip are much better choices
Absolutely! I usually do. I'm just going to count it as a "make up" for the ones he missed. (He DOES occasionally miss even some humdingers, you know?) The mods would prefer it if I feel like I've been attacked, I just report it rather than fire back and escalate. I grew up in a downscale Pennsylvania industrial town; I'm all like "where's the fun in that?" Truth be told, that's why I appreciate my Capitol. Firing back is what we do, except on the floor of the House itself. No work today. Mother Nature is slinging more ice than a bartender at a Vegas convention reception.
If as I assume - particularly the anomaly running through TY of LIBERTY - it's a plating issue and is fairly common in early Zincolns. That said and since you're new to the forum, it's quite easy to start a new thread. Simply pick the appropriate sub-forum, open it up, and on the upper right just above the thread list you'll see a button that says "Post New Thread". Simply click it, be sure to provide a title, and do as you otherwise would when responding to an already active thread such as this one. Below is the link to the sub-forum list. Good luck and welcome to the forum, Moin. https://www.cointalk.com/forums/
I reverse "obverse" when I am long out of practice as I am most of the time. Indeed, the most displayed "side" of a coin is the front... which commonly has the date. Now, for someone out of practice, ... does not the use of an obtuse word like "obverse"... immediately occur to the mind as indicative of a less common feature? Therefore, obverse is the 'back' side. ...Thanks to CT I can presently discriminate between 'edge' and 'rim'.
