Pennies 1969, 1948, 2009

    1948 D wheat penny.

    2009 different design on back.

    Are they worth anything?

    Welcome to CoinTalk...they are worth whatever they are worth to you. Nothing there that I know of that has much value. Other comment will follow, don't be too sensitive if they are jocular.

    With the 69, I assume you're referring to the D variety with "missing initials"? If so, a large percentage of coins from said date and mint display weak/partial initials, and only those without nary a trace may bring a premium.

    This is true, from what I have learned they also have a floating roof, from the die abrading.

    I agree that you can see the initials and the 2009 had 4 different reverse designs, all new to the older memorials. After this year the reverse design to date is the shield. Keep hunting for those lincoln cents!
