Hey everybody! First a quick update: My brother and I are still not talking to each other. It seems that he may be having some difficulties with the changes that have happened over the past few months since I've moved out. Neither of us deal with change very well. So, my dad said that this could be the reason why he lashed out. My parents are trying to encourage us, since we're adults, to work this out on our own. Second, our good friend Joe (@JGGonzalez) sent me a rockin' belated Christmas present. Thanks Joe, it's a fantastic book! I would recommend this to anyone who collects Biblical coins. It gets two thumbs up! Feel free to post the most random coins you can think of. Erin
very kool!.. i collect antique books and magazines meself..here's one of four i got yesterday dated May 30, 1938
That is a very interesting book, I have the Second Edition (yours is the third). It will have you looking for the coins shown in it.
That's a Great gift from Joe, congrats Erin. I have a booklet about Biblical coins, lives in a little case with 8 biblical coins. issued by the Dutch Royal mint:
Books Are Cool! You bet your sweet bippy that books are cool. As for family...I wish you the best. These things usually work out on their own and you end up closer for having weathered the storm.
I just picked up an interesting title. I used to collect and sell antiquarian books, mostly 16th Century or earlier, so when I saw this I knew I had to get it: The Greek and Roman History, Illustrated by Coins & Medals, printed in London, 1692. I have only scanned it so far but am impressed by how much information it has, from the Republican period forward (despite Greek in the title, it refers to Greek Imperial pieces). Quite interesting. It even mentions paduans.
