I don't see a mintmark. They are usually obvious. The coin is high enough grade that, if there was one, it should be there. If it is a struck-through-grease, I would expect a shiny, untoned spot. This is a P-mint coin.
It seems to have the perfect placement for the second "C" in the Carson City mint mark but what happened to the first "C" I couldn't say
The coin looks toned just enough and just right in the Mint mark area and we see what we want. I can see what looks like.... but there's really nothing there so it is a Philadelphia minted Morgan Dollar.
Yeah, it looks like half of a CC mint mark based on size and positioning -- but our brains are hardwired to see faces on toast and desirable mintmarks in toning. You'd need a better picture to be sure, but it's most likely just a blotch, I think.
It’s hard to see whether that’s actually raised above the surface. Maybe if we could see a couple of photos lit from different directions?
This photo shows better that there is no mintmark at all different lighting can cause different effects. Have to agree with -jeffB wishful thinking at best
