Need help with a 1947 p liberty nickel

    There is no mint mark so it's from Philadelphia mint from what I watch or read so far (witch isn't much) and from what I found is that there are no know errors. I think one of mine has off set lettering I e pluribus unum and United States of America can any help by looking at this pick the Screenshot_2018-02-02-20-09-27.png

    Your nickel is normal, but, old and circulated.

    Why do you think it is a Liberty nickel?

    I should have put Monticello instead of liberty sorry .when I compared it to the same year Monticello it looks like the lettering is shifted into the rim here is a pic of the one I compared it to.its the same mint and same year 20180202_194731.jpg

    Welcome to CoinTalk. This is usually called a Jefferson nickel, the Liberty nickels are the ones with a big V on the back. Everything looks normal

    The first one is just more worn. With wear, lettering can and often does become impacted.

    It's a spender. I just dumped some of these into the flu hands of circulation.
