Got a new computer setup so I need some practice. This FRN is a $1 1963 A/A Block. I'm collecting the series by ALL blocks. And I include errors, but not cutting or inking errors. Just BEP errors; the 1963 series includes 14 "mules". I also don't include star notes. This particular note is the next to last that I need to complete the "normal" notes. I'm still missing the San Francisco L/A block. And I'm missing 2 of the 14 mules, the B/B and G/B blocks.
Hmmmm, got to figure out why my note isn't showing. Checked, and the address is correct and working if I just put it into the browser. Something about CoinTalk not accepting it. Further testing required.
What condition are the notes you are collecting? And, why do you not include legitimate BEP cutting and inking errors ?
The FRN notes that I collect are all CU or CHCU. With few exceptions they are all inexpensive even in those grades. BEP cutting and inking errors just don't interest me. And star notes are ignored because they are mostly more expensive than I wish to pay.
It’s amazing to me how often District sets come up for auction and how affordable they are. https://currency.ha.com/c/search-re...=SI_Titles-Desc&Nty=1&Ntt=1963+$1&limitTo=all
District set, yes. But block sets within a District -- that's another story. That A/A block is the only one for Boston in the 1963 series. New York has 3 blocks; so does Atlanta. And it gets worse the newer the series. Series 1974 has: -- 3 blocks for Boston -- 8 blocks for New York -- 6 blocks for Richmond -- 5 blocks for Atlanta etc.
Block sets are also available. Some even have matching end numbers. https://currency.ha.com/c/search-re...itles-Desc&Nty=1&Ntt=$1+block+set&limitTo=all
Oooooo, thanks for that. I look at Heritage for coins but have missed out on the currency block listings.
