Pulled a CUD out of a box of cents today. It's not listed on cuds-on-coins.com either.

Had 5 rolls of customer dimes kicking around from 2 weeks ago, so I looked at them. 1962-D and a 1983-S - my first found proof dime! :)

FF, will you hang onto all of the Ikes or dump the others? Just curious.

Gotta dump em'. Need the money for my regular weekly CRH funds :)
These are not as nice as the last ones. A lot were taped to something at some point.

It looks like it's actually possible to turn a small profit after fees by selling them on eBay.

Yeah. But it's not worth the time IMO. I want the money available to me by next monday so I Need a quick turn around.

I sell them locally on cl for $1.10 each in lots of 100. I’ve found the 10% profit is worth my effort, so I’ve increased my CRHing bank roll to include extra funds for Ikes.

Do they sell frequently, and do you (or are you able to) sell dirty/cruddy ones? Just curious.

I threw them up on CL for 1.25 OBO just to see if I get a nibble before Friday/dump day. I'm not expecting much but hey maybe I will. If not, they go back to the bank Friday.

ff, I think it’s worth a try, but also consider increasing your CRHing bankroll so you can keep advertising longer than a couple days.

The first person who replied to my ad over 1 year ago has since purchased almost 1,000 Ikes at $1.10 each, as well as a lot of the silver coins I had in my collection that I wanted to upgrade, and at a good price for me.

Ace, yes, they bought every Ike I offered them with the agreement I wouldn’t search the Ikes for errors before selling the Ikes to them. I keep the BU class Ikes. They’ve not yet searched the Ikes for errors, so I don’t yet know if I missed out on anything. I’m satisfied with our deal.

My current bankroll is $3100 a week and I think if I go much further than that my wife may have an issue lol.

ff, I understand how a wife plays into your decision. I keep a separate account for my CRHing and coin sales activities.

Part of each paycheck goes directly into my CRHing account. Only a little bit ($50) each check, but it adds up over time. Like most, I recycle the funds in this account when CRHing. Meanwhile, I use profits from my occasional coin sales (including Ikes) to buy more desirable coins for my collection.

I’ve found my 10-25% profit (depends on the sale) enables me to buy far more silver than I would ever find in local boxes of halves.

Trish bought my box of pennies. But since the Buffer is still down I got out of work at 8:08 or so. I decided to go try a bank down in Cleveland. She said usually people call in advance because we have to order them. She asked if I was searching for old pennies. I said yes. She came up with a box. She said this is from the Fed. I said as long as they aren't all 2017.
She said no guarantee. It was a sealed box. Turns out that these are just normal rolls. Out of 5 so far about 28-30 copper have come out. Maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of them might be worth keeping. Going to do 5 more rolls after posting this and checking another website.

Double Die I know just enough to be dangerous

I've got these '92 P Lincolns from a couple of rolls and several have these "streamers" coming off of the USOA on the reverse. What's causing this? If necessary, I'll try to get some clearer pics.

5 more rolls down. Approximately 20 copper.
4 so rough they go in a possible melt stack.
About 1/3 to 1/2 of them keepers.

Its been a while...over the last couple of weeks several things have happened. Last Friday, the bank I was getting my boxes of halves from says, "we cant order them anymore, if we don't already have a coin order." Oh well, what sux about this is their teller trays have produced 4 90%ers and several 40s over the last months, but I guess I can go in and just ask for loose. I asked another bank if they would order some halves...they were supposed to have ordered a box today, we'll se how that goes. I've been searching mostly dimes. I'd say I've gone through about ten boxes and found 7. (three in one box) I found 2 at one time in the reject slot of the coin counter at the bank so that makes 9 for the year. I have found two 40% halves from a teller tray and one from the coin machine reject slot. That is all the silver for 2018. So far its been a lean year.

Bought $220 in MWR Halves from a teller in the lobby of a “no-account” bank. Got to the car a found a reverse Bender. Drove through the motor bank next to the bank. Bought 3 halves from that teller, 2 more Benjamin’s (1959-D, 1963-D)!
