Need better pics...with coin outside capsule. Be careful how you handle it, not to leave prints or drop it. Weight would also help.

It appears to be a very nice example of a half eagle. Not a particularly rare date. However certainly has some nice value if it is genuine. It's unfortunate that there are a lot of counterfeits out these days. A closer photo would help sharper trained eyes to determine its authenticity.

It's an eagle that looks real but not in amazing shape. Value probably in the $600-$700 range.

That's an eagle, not a half eagle, and it looks perfectly genuine from here.

Thank you. I am determined to trade in my three dollar readers and go see a genuine eye doctor.

Your being a coin collector and all, I'd say you got the cart before the horse!

Looks like a probable AU55 coin, but I can't be sure . . . photo needs to be better, and we could really stand to see the other side in order to tell you a while lot more.

Looks like a damaged Morgan, worth $20 or so.

Coins were much larger when I started collecting in the 1970's. Somehow they been shrinking over the years.

I think TOUGHcoins was refering to your first coin, not this one. The coin here is not real gold (unless its some sort of gold round). Rather, it is a gold plated silver morgan dollar that is considered damaged by collectors. As said above, it’s worth about $20.

In the future, try to post new threads for each new topic/coin.
