Howdy everyone... I thought I would post this and see if anyone was going..if so let me know..perhaps we can meet up?? RickieB
Bay State Coin Show I will be there...unsure what day or time...and unsure if I can drag and of my friends. I collect Israel and Palestine and the selection there is not as vast as the internet. Usually the only dealer specializing in Israel is JJ Van Grover. There is a coupon this week in Numismatic News for a free US Proof Set complements ofNortheast Numismatics upon entry on Saturday and Sunday
Cool...does not say too much fro that proof set huh?? Let me know when you are thinking about going and perhaps we can meet up and check things out?? RickieB
It's been a good three or four years since I've been to the Boston show. Maybe I'll drop in just to say hi to you guys.
I'd love to meet you guys! Now if you could just take care of my air fare, lost wages, put me up and give me money to buy things with while I'm there! Maybe next time? clembo
now if you really mean it i will come all the way from chicago but ud better show up. i wont have any money for coins afte ri make the trip though
Well, I'll try to work it into my schedule. It's only a half hour drive for me. I doubt it's worth flying in from Chicago though.
I think I can make this on Saturday. I'll know better as the date approaches. The following week is the show in Auburn. Do you ever get to that one?
My brother and I may go, not sure yet. Just got back from Orlando on Sunday, so not much funds available right now.
Hello Guy's... I had quite a few more response than what I thought I would. It would be great to meet all or any of you in Boston. As Peter mentioned, it may not be worth the long flight in, however, if you are local it is an ok show. Not a huge show by any means, but there is usually a lot there to keep you looking. The Auburn show is held monthly at the Elk's Club and is not a vacation destination at all..LOL the ride for me to Boston is ~ 45 min and the ride to Auburn is ~428 seconds.... If you do plan on going let's prep a means of identification so we can look you up. Too bad we dont have any "long sleeve" Coin Talk T's...burrrrrrr it's getting cold up here in New England. RickeiB
Hi, 22 degrees this morning. I usually go to the Auburn show too. Sounds like I live pretty close to you. I am about 20 miles south of Webster down I-395. Boston is about 65 miles northeast. Never went to that show and I am thinking of trying to make it this time. Worried about parking in Boston though.
I'm going to the one in Westford Ma this Sunday for some Christmas shopping. If there are funds available after that I'd like to make the Boston show and meet some of you guys. I need more info about the show though. Boston is about 15 min to the north of me. Richard
Almost time to trot, trot to Boston. As soon as the kids go to school...I'm off. I'm wearing blue Levi's and a white w/ blue vertical striped collared shirt, sneakers and a NE PATS jacket. I'm 5'10", wearing glasses and have mostly grey hair. If I have a look on my face like I'm annoyed that's just a mechanism I use to keep from being bothered. If you see me this morning please don't be deterred by my "annoyed look". Say "Hi David" and introduce yourself. :smile
Well I wish I had a better report....but I did not get to make it until Sunday. I was there early at opening and with the threat of bad weather it was rather dismal at best. I know a dealer there and brought in all my duplicates and mamaged to get some $$$ for future notes. It was as slow as I have ever seen it and everyone was concerned about the weather! Most of the Paper Money had already packed up and split... RickieB
