Welcome to CT IMHO it looks to me to be MD ( machine doubled) or SD ( strike doubled).

But I'd wait on some of these other guys that's been doing this quite a while they'll be able to give you an indefinite answer.

You have the coin in hand. Honestly I am unable to get details from your photos. I would start with the position of the S. Unless there is another feature such as a clash. a die chip a gouge. Paece dollars are a "Bear" to VAM. Good luck it won't be easy.

Peace dollars and Morgan dollars are all attributed by VAM. Each VAM is identified by its characteristics, For example a doubled MM will have it's own VAM---say VAM 3 if the die clashed sometime in it's use the clash and doubled MM will get a designation of VAM 3a. If the doubling on the MM was due to Machine doubling then it will not show up as a VAM because it did not have to do with the Dies original design.

I'd like to know what you come up with. It is easy to look over die markers. Please let us know.

It is very possible that the coin is showing mechanical doubling on the MM. Your 26S is a VAM, though.
