Found this searching a roll just now.
Picked up one and, saw something on the coin below. What the what?
Upon closer inspection i noticed the strike through. The object still there.
What should i do? Does this increase the value? 20180128_205110.jpg if you cant tell the strike through is on the left. The object on the right.
    Opinions please.

I wouldn't be concerned about the value, but more of the coolness! That is cool!

PM added. If it was on the coin surface before, then it would not be sitting on the surface. It would be embedded.

What do you think the fiber is? Kind of looks plastic from the images. Always nice to have the struck through object retained. I’ve got a couple of struck through thread coins but no retained fibers. I was lucky enough to pull a nice grease/debris strike through w/ retained struck through crud. Not near as sexy as your struck through PORN fiber coin. Lol. Nice coin! Reed.

Fiberglass reinforced strapping tape! That’s the fiber.

Very cool, indeed! It's always a plus to have the object that the coin was struck through (I could do without retained grease crud :yack:). Nice find.

Yeah I know but what’s left is hard and imbedded pretty good so it’s not just falling off.

It was embedded it fell out. I think it is some sort of plastic. Thats why it didnt stick.

The first picture, by Steve E., is the one I am referring to. If the plastic was struck through to the surface, then you could see a depression in/on the surface of the coin under it, if some plastic strip, has lifted off the surface. The second picture appears as grease strike through.

    Sorry for confusing the matter.

You can see an impression. The impression is on the left the plastic is on the right. How many times have you seen coin struck through a staple and, there is no staple?

@steve.e how are you going to keep this coin and fiber? 2X2 flip, 2X2 cardboard, capsule? What are you thinking?
