I took some pictures today out of boredom, and here are all my circulation finds so far. Star notes More to come later!
The first one here is a series 1988 A $20 bill. The second shows 5 series 1995, and one each of series 1993, 1988 A and 1963 B. And finally, 3 2003 consecutive $2 bills, crisp. Well, that's it. I know nothing here has any value beyond face, but I figured I'd show you guys some of my oddities. Since I can't afford to buy some of the great notes you guys post, I can only get what I find in circulation. It's slim pickings, but it's fulfilling when you find something unusual to stash away.
Thanks for the nice words, Phoenix. Eventually I'll find something really noteworthy, and you guys will be the first to know!
BigH.... You are doing GREAT!!...To find these notes in circulation is not as easy as it sounds. A effort to visit each note is a time consuming attempt as well as an effort to recall the thought of checking those bills. Once it becomes habit, then people start to think you are a little weird...my Golf buddies think I am insane!! Nonetheless, CUDO's for the great finds and those 2's are in nice shape....my only question is "How did that NY Note Escape me"? LOL... RickieB
Thanks for sharing this. Whenever I'm in a situation where I get a few $100 or $50 notes, I cringe in terror. I look at them and I almost hope I DON'T get a Radar or a Star or whatever because I Know that I can't afford to keep it. Ah, such is life..... Enjoy what you can and do it in moderation
