Here are three more errors. All were found in circulation this year, except for the V-nickel, which I bought at a flea market. The cent is a 1998 wide-AM

    More to come!

This is a 1983 Jefferson nickel with unusually strong die clashing.

And finally a 1883 'CENTS' V-nickel with a massive lamination peel on the reverse, bought for $7 at a flea market.

That's all for now, but I'm also going to post some common star notes and older bills in the paper money section later.

    Nice...

I have been thru about $300 in cent rolls so far , not yet a Wide AM, those I check every 98-99-2000 coin. I have a jar of 83,84 and 95 coins to check later, and about $55+ in copper so far.

Good luck with your endeavors, and congrats on the coppers! I only started saving a few months ago, so I still have under a thousand pre-'82s. I found a roll with 23 coppers today!

By the way, don't feel bad about not finding a wide-AM. I think I was extremely lucky to find that when I did. I've probably looked through about $500 in pennies so far, with relatively sparse finds. Tons of wheats, though no keys or semi-keys yet.

Is that wide AM a reverse die clash? It almost looks like it from the picture. I've been buying boxes of cents for a few months now and haven't found any wides either. I did, however, find 3 1995 DDO's. I also found this coin which I was really excited about until I was told it was fairly common and not worth much, oh well.

3 95 DDO's, wow, excellent. Maybe this weekend I'll get the 20X loupe out and get into my jar of 83,84 and 95's. Nice clash by the way, have never seen one of them either, I'll keep an eye out for that too.

I have cherry picked RPM's at shows, but never from circulation have I got anything worthwhile . Can't wait for my first big find !!

Are you only checking the 98, 99, and 2000 for the wide AM? I know those are the only years for which the have been reported, but in theory they could exist for any year after 1993. Don't just look for what is known to exist. Look for what MIGHT exist. That's how new discoveries are made.
