Just got these two 1982 P and D's today. Think I'll submit the P for grading. Rare to see this particular year in this state!

Thought it would be nice to have a new round of postings on the Kennedy Half Dollars.

Anyone got an 82 without the designer initials. Would like to see it.

Are the dents on the reverse rim and both LL (DOLLAR) 82 P mint error?

I wouldn’t submit either for grading if I were you... I don’t think they would even grade above MS64 let alone be worth the grading fee.

    I like the '82-P quite a bit.

With the bump for being a tough date MS-65 should be doable. If it were a better strike even MS-66 might be in range.

The '82-D is better than average but average is much nicer.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

While 1982 might be a tougher year, you still need to be sure of getting high grades to make submitting worth it. I think the P probably grades at 65 - you need to be sure of 66+ to make it worth it. The D tops out at 64. I would save your money - if you want certified examples of these, buy them already graded. There are 289 P graded 66 at NGC alone, so this is not a rare coin by any means.
