wow - that's a tall order - most of my stack is pre-1965 circulated US 90% silver coinage (I don't care for the j.s. description) and tubes of ASEs, Canadian Maple Leafs and some other foreign bullion coins - I've also got 55 unremarkable silver dollars and a few semi-collectible silver coins from around the globe - posting all of them would wear me out and bore most of you bleary-eyed :D

In a way, that is a good question. I bought that coin on ebay from a seller I assumed was reputable and honest. The other bidders had fairly high numbers of feedbacks, indicating that they were not total rookies. I paid less than $50 for it. I have a certain amount of knowledge and expertise about coins, and it looks real to me. How do you know your wheat pennies (or whatever you collect) are real?

I kind of go by what you said, I just hope and Pray that they are real :D, but that coin is awesome!

Well, if you like it, just go for it. No regrets! I bought a coin a few months ago which I maybe should have looked at a bit more carefully. I have a good relationship with the seller and he would have refunded my money, no problem, however I liked it and elected to keep it. I think this is what is called a "contemporary counterfeit", meaning it was made way back then and passed as genuine, thus the honest wear. I have posted it before.
What do you think? Is this a neat piece or what? It "rings" like silver and the portrait of Edward VII is like nothing I have ever seen. 1904 India 1 r obv.JPG 1904 India 1 r rev.JPG

There aren't enough hours in the day for me to post ALL of my silver coins, so I'll post my favorite.

Well, one of my top favorites, anyway... ;)
