That is a pretty awesome coin. Don’t like the seller’s no return, though.

They apparently haven't sold a coin in about six months, either. Hmmm ...

    Kind regards,

Is that the famous 1972 Double die as well?

If it weren't, anyone even thinking of buying it at that kind of money should be taken off the streets for their own good.

He's got eight impressive coins for sale. But with the prices he's asking, no returns ought to scare people off. Perhaps that's why he hasn't sold lately.

I'm confused, maybe cause all the people coming in the site asking for millions for the 1972, but isn't it worth a couple thousand without the toning?

Could someone clarify what makes it special and what is it's value?

No. The 1972 doubled regularly trades in the $600-ish range. I've seen a quite red one that is in the MS65 quality range trade at auction for $375. On THIS coin, you're being asked to pay out the wazoo for COLOR, on BRONZE, which never stops changing color. I can't fault the ask. But the bid is stupidity squared.

All my toners go into a “colors” box where they forever change color on their way to full brown. I have no coins in my keepers and collections that are toned and very few that aren’t brown. Once their brown they are pretty much done changing colors for our children’s children life times. Buy toners and enjoy them but turn them every so often so your not stuck with a purple toner that seemingly turned brown gray overnight. She sure is pretty..........for now.
    Sincerely
    Reed

PCGS values this coin at $475.00 but auction results show different true value. 7BFACF08-E866-4458-AEAB-FE2E76905217.png

Some dudes see blue on a Lincoln and lose the ability to think.
