    Second bank still closed.
Got a box from our bank.
Through 5 rolls quite a few 2017D but less copper than I've been getting from the other bank.

Finding a 73 is super! Think I paid like 5 or more bucks for mine at a LCS.

The vast majority of the copper in this box is only fit to.go in a pile to go back into the wild. Otherwise nothing new to report.

I don't know if I speak for the rest of the people on here, but I'd like to see some pictures once in a while :)

Had no idea what I got because this is from late November. I think I got a box of MWR pennies, $40 cwr nickels, $20 MWR nickels, and $150 in dimes, mix of MWR and CWR.

    Pennies: 38, 44, 44-S, 49-D, 56, 58, 7 canadian
    Nickels: 1926, 22 pre-60, 1 canadian

I found about seven wheat cents, several Canadian pennies, three magnetic Bahama pennies. (I've never found any of these before. Maybe it has something to do with the recent storms and people coming up into FL?) They're kinda cool.

I found a Lincoln doubled eye.
A few die cracks and cuds.
    A 2000 WAM.
A few others, that I'm still looking into. :)

    $810 in MWR halves yielded:

    1, 40% a ‘68D
    1 ‘87D
    2 impaired Cu-Ni clad proofs

This was better than I expected given how poor MWRs are in my town, so I’m satisfied.

$24 CWR Cents: 11 wheats including a '25 from Philly

    $74 CWR Nickels: 15 pre-1960 and a 2005-S in rough shape

$275 CWR Dimes: 203 silver Roosies! Mixed dates from '46-'64. 200 of them came from 4 rolls. I'm told a started making a strange gurgling sound when I opened the second roll and all that silver started pouring out... Which I justify because that's nearly as many dimes as I found in all of 2017. :-D

    $30 CWR Halves: 5 40%-ers and 1 90%-er.

Finished my 6 boxes of halves or the week.
Almost 5 solid boxes of 09/10/11D NIFC. Solid rolls of them. Close to 5k of them...:dead:
    6th box was a skunk.

At least the cents look good for the week. Lots of copper memorials showing.

Wow FF, you’ve got a corner on those NIFCs! Will you pluck the nice ones and turn the rest loose or try and sell them?

I’ve got the ones I wanted for my books already. The rest are unrolled and ready to go back to the bank. TBH, beyond a year/mm for each of the kiddos albums and mine, I couldn’t care less about the NIFC. :)

I dumped my $830 in halves at a single bank tonight. I had last been to this bank and dumped $500 in halves 6 months ago. Tonight I bought all the halves they had, which was $300, and immediately recognized all of it was my old dump. Of course, I politely bought the $300 worth, smiled, and left.

I win some, and I lose some.

I am not sure if posted about this before, but i will anyway because it has come up again.
I went to a bank looking for halves. Here's how the conversation went.
Me- "Do you have any half dollars"
T- "Yes, how many do you need"
Me- "Well, How many do you have"
T- "How many do you need"
Me- "As many as you have, I'd like to buy them all"
The teller then asks another teller if she has any halves. She says yes, and she asks me how many i need.
Me- "As many as you have"
T- "How many do you need"
    Me- "150 Dollars worth"
    T- "Oh i only have 120"
I just find it funny that i guess they aren't supposed to tell me how much they have or something? I'm definitely not complaining because i did find some cool coins, which will be posted later, but has anyone else come across this phenomenon. Maybe since I'm a young kid (and it was in a college town) that the teller(s) thought i may have not had enough money for all of them or something. All just speculation. This is my first time at this bank, and they gave me a card so i can call ahead rather than stop in.

Yes, that happens a lot, in fact happened to me just yesterday. Ended up buying a box from a bank I don’t have an account at after a similar conversation. I usually stick with your approach with the line, “I’ll buy all you have” and try to find out how much they have and then “Loose, customer wrapped, or from the Fed?” But sometimes if they appear to be super busy or stressed, I’ll keep the conversation short and throw out a number like you did and hope for the best, lol. Just once I would like to walk up and say, “I’m looking to buy some juicy half dollars that are all silver. If you have some like that, I’ll buy them all!!!”
