    About 24 hours since we hit 1717, so time to move on? Here is 1716 - I have no British coins for this year - only two denominations minted and both a very pricey - so here is my Swedish Ore bought in specially to keep the line going!

    Oh, I absolutely LOVE that thorny rosebush design! That would be an appealing 18th century coin to me, based on the design alone, even if it were a circulated copper instead of a high grade (and likely rare and expensive) gold coin!
