My wife and I returned today from the NYINC. We planned to leave Tuesday, but our trip was postponed by sleet, ice and cold weather predictions in Houston! Our trip today was uneventful, if you ignore the little fact that the only ramp from the 3rd floor of the parking garage was barricaded closed. The airport probably closed it due to ice and forgot to unblock it. I wore my Crack Em Out shirt, by TIF, on Saturday. I was well received by the PCGS France guy. In face he took a couple of close up pics of the shirt. TIF, did you trade mark your design? The NGC guy was less enthusiastic. He smiled only after I said my son sold plenty of coins in his slabs. My wife and I had a great time at the shows (she went to the Vogue Live Knitting show). We saw 3 shows (the best was the politically incorrect Latin History for Morons), had way too much good food (the cheese cake varieties are super), found time to go to the MET, went to the Soup Man's shop and even ordered a PDF copy of a book from the ANS library. My haul this year was modest. I must get ready for GHCC show tomorrow. I will post my treasures a bit later.
Love the shirt! Glad you guys had fun and avoided Houston. Like 400 car accidents! I also think it's funny that you harassed the slabbers - haha!
That is a great shirt @rrdenarius and @TIF To paraphrase T.S. Eliot, there is no such thing as a lost cause because there is no such thing as a won cause. As long as we on CT are willing to fight the slabbers the cause endures.
Here's a close-up of the fabric pattern. I had fun wearing a different shirt made from that fabric at CICF 2014
