    That's a Carson City Dime. (Carson City, Nevada)

    It's supposed to have the CC Mintmark.

    Not sure what you're saying about the CC's,
    but both of them should be there for a Carson
    City-minted coin.

    It's not a fake or altered coin.

    It's a genuine Carson City Mint
    Dime, with a hole in it, and it's
    probably polished, from the photos.

    Do you suppose the "polishing" might have come from clothing rub while being worn on a chain?
