Ok. 64L reverse. The O and N's took hits. Can't go with MS

I agree with your grading; that's where I am too.

Carbon spots or not, I seriously love that 1864 (No L.)

Great looking coin and perfect for the CN in a 7070.

Your posts always make me wonder how many amazing US coins are hiding out in Europe...

I see a bit of luster break on the ribbon of the 64 just a tiny touch of rub enough I’d go 58. It’s the classic example of an au 64 to me just a touch of wear but more eye appealing than a lot of ms coins. The 64 L is a lot better than xf. I’m at mid au all day. 53/55 id say

Many thanks to all who gave their opinions, and my apologies for posting in such an un-orderly fashion..

Many thanks, Bill, for your comments on the 64-L. I see what you mean.
I was too conservative in my estimation - learning process with the IHC's.

When I blow-up the reverse pic of the 64-L, some doubling is clearly evident on the feathers and the letters of AMERICA. Never noticed this before. Is this normal for the variety?
