I don't like the mark on the high cheek, but I think it grades a 65. I believe I see a lot of tiny little contact marks on the cheek too. Not terribly distracting, but IMO, they are there. Fields are very nice. '84cc is the most readily available CC mint mark date. Be picky.
I'm going to call this one early. Kind of a fast one to go old school but I wanted to see how it would grade today and you all confirmed what my gut was telling me. I have been eyeballing this. The mark under the eye kind of ruins it for me though. I will be patient!
I believed it to be a solid 65+. The dang spot under the eye just ruins it for me. This one auctions off in a couple of days. I’ll sit on the sidelines.
I thought that hit under the eye and the one on the chin plus I could tell it was an older pcgs. So I figured it as a high end 64
The mark under the eye is too distracting for me but if this coin was in a blue holder I believe it would be a 65. I made a thread on how to quantify or define “major distracting marks”. This coin sparked that thread. You could even argue this coin down to a 63 if you went by the book and said no major distracting marks on a 64.
