1960 Dime

    Would a misaligned die caused this kind of damage to the date.

    Or is it PMD thanks for any help.

    No.. Looks like the Date was well struck and then damaged due to circulation.

    Thank you I appreciate it I don't normally mess with dimes that happened to be in my pocket change with a 1957.

    It looks like it was a die that had worked overtime and should have been retired about 50,000 strike earlier. The area between the date gets blurred a bit, and when you add some circulation along with that, this is what you get.

    Well at first glance I thought it was a 1969 then I did a little research and from my understanding in 1969 they only made proof dimes.

    If I understood that right thanks for the help.
