I do have coins other than provincials.:)

This one is not in the best of shape but a neat reverse rype.

This coin ends PIVS AVG which is much more desirable.

I agree with @zumbly and @TJC . It looks like the obverse is silvered but tarnished (toned).

Just now noticing the even distance between the edge of coin and rim of dots on these Probi.

Both great rare coins, unusual portrait on the securitas, very nice with nearly full silvering.

This is the earliest Lugdunum style for Probus.

These two are contemporary with it. These are dated from November to December A.D. 276

    [IMG] [IMG]

The style changes a little in the following issue (Emission 3 Minted Start A.D. 277). This is fairly typical for the next couple of emissions and then it changes quite noticably.

The later style is much more refined.

Some beautiful coins you have there, I note all those portrait styles he looks younger than my OP.

Lugdunum had 9 emissions. The last of which used A, B, C and D in the fields as officina identifiers.

The following coin is the only reverse die coin of Probus that uses these letters but in exe. and is likely to be the most mature portrait of Probus from Lugdunum. I believe it to be one of only five examples known all from the same die pair.

    Probus
    Obv:– IMP C PROBVS • P • F • AVG, Radiate, cuirassed bust right
Rev:– TEMPOR FELICIT, Felicitas standing right, holding caduceus and cornucopiae
Minted in Lugdunum (B in exe) Emission 9, Officina 1. January to August A.D. 282
Reference:– Cohen 727. Bastien 439. RIC 129 var. Bust type F
