Here are some recent newps, mostly from FUN: A better date 1832 CBQ (PCGS XF45 CAC) . . . A deeply toned 1901-S Half Eagle (PCGS MS62) . . . A raw gem mint state 1929-D SLQ with interior cud above the left column of stars . . . likely finest of the variety . . . A scarce raw AU / BU 1890 Double Eagle . . . A proof 1912 Lib Nickel (NGC PF65 Cameo, CAC) purchased for a fellow CT member . . .
I was enamored of a recent post of a toned Pilgrim. This is not toned, but I was hoping the waves would move in the final photos.
So this new pickup wouldn't have happened had I known you can't use ebay gift cards on coins. That makes absolutely zero sense to me whatsoever it's a gift card and is supposed to be as good as cash but it's apparently ebays policy - very annoying. So I ended up with a nice coin still but again wouldn't have bought this if not for trying to use up a gift card, sigh Sellers pics:
Here are some more newps: A very lightly marked PCGS AU58 1905 Double Eagle . . . A very original 1886-S Morgan, very PQ in a PCGS AU58 holder . . . A PQ PCGS MS62 1898 Double Eagle, scarcely see with so few marks . . . A nice raw 1939 Walker . . . A nice originally toned 1909-S $10 Indian, PCGS MS62 . . .
Sometimes "D" does not stand for Denver. This is one of those times. I'm building a US type set and including at least one coin from each US mint is part of the goal. I was hoping to work on this at FUN, but wasn't able to go due to work. No worries. One of my favorite dealers put this on his website and it was irresistible. First southern gold. Now, just "C" and "O" to go.
Looked to me like a Doug Winter coin, so I went to his site and easily confirmed that to be the case. Great looking coin.
This GC purchase arrived in the mail box a few days ago. It puts me at #29 on the NGC Franklin Half business strike registry.
