That is a great coin! Be lucky you were able to participate and win something. Work took me away from days of awesome auctions, including Triton. Got nothing this time around...

 

All I got from this Triton sale is a couple of catalogs and a calendar. My prebid for a Staffieri coin turned out to be woefully insufficient.

 

If you really want to know, write to CNG and ask them to ask the winner to weight it for you. Or... if the winning bidder didn't pick up the lot at the show (and since it was a mail bidder, that is unlikely), ask CNG if they could weigh that coin before shipping the lot .

 

I read that the island has 99% power. Welcome back from the dark ages.

 

Thanks! I'm not sure if the 99% is correct, based on the number of people telling me they have no power, but it's getting there. The ability of the power plant to generate electricity is lagging though, so that's a problem. Their generators frequently fail. Hopefully they'll get some new ones.

My internet was restored a week or so ago and that was a bigger relief than the restoration of power! It's good to be back in the semi-civilized world again
