    I'm embarrassed that I messed up the spelling in the thread title. At least it doesn't say "Post your 3 Cent Pickles".

    Oddly enough, after your comment it was the first time I had noticed the clash on the reverse of mine... Thanks for the clue... :)

    This is on the way from a member here....Purchased it from CBD .
    Not that I needed another 1865 nickel 3 cent piece...but I love the fact it is a ddo, clashed,die breaks,retained cud,and Rev. rotation is about 10 degrees!
    What else could a variety collector ask for? An Rpm or mpd perhaps ;)

    From time to time you do find a coin that has multiple varities ,but few that have as much as this one does. So this became a had to have specimen.

    I wish that I didn't start this thread. I'm just too jealous of your coins. Your last post is fantastic! I hope that I can find a few even close to yours.

    I'm still trying to find out what caused the appearance of a pillar between the second and third roman numeral on the reverse.

    Well it's definitely a clash ...but of what is a good question. It looks like part of the Roman numeral....except for the base... trying to visualize what other coin or die it could of clashed with....maybe once in hand I will be able to determine more.

    Let us know what you think it is when you look at it in hand. Pretty interesting coin to say the least.

    @Fred Weinberg

    Maybe Fred can give us some insight on this specimen.

    Well maybe I shouldn't post this but....have a look at the leaf on the cud! 1865 cud lll.jpg Now that's the icing on the cake....a retained cud with a device transfer.

    @Fred Weinberg
    Can you give us any more information on this?
    Is it as I described above,or just another clash on the cud ?

    I believe that would be a retained cud. But not to far from being a full blown one.

    There are some really neat 3C Nickels posted here.
