I am aware the use of albums per se tends to be an American thing, and many other countries' collectors use literal cabinets, but I'd like to know if anyone out there knows any stout quality albums for other countries' coinage. I already know about Lighthouse/Leuctturm and the penchant for capsules. I'm curious PARTICULARY for United Kingdom and/or Swiss coins, but not ONLY those.
I have often wondered why Dansco and Littleton have not expanded their lines, but I guess the market is not going to support the cost to manufacture. I would love to get my Canadian coins out of their folders but I would not want them in Whitman albums without a supporting outer case. If you ever run into any Great Britain albums let me know as most of my GB coins are in binders and 2X2's. Except for the large pennies which I made a custom Dansco for. But I'm looking for pre-printed albums, so tired of the gold foil lettering job.
In the meantime, I am using Dansco millimeter pages, but finding an album that neatly stores current UK 50 pence pieces would be the bee's knees.
The reason I asked is because Dansco did make foreign coin albums at one stage. There is a Swiss album https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/vintage-dansco-7500-swiss-313268762 I know Dansco makes it for Australia and Ireland but not for English coins...? Or I just am not aware. Thomas Moll wrote an interesting book about various world coin albums https://books.google.com/books?id=f...ce=gbs_ge_summary_r&cad=0#v=onepage&q&f=false
I know you mentioned capsules already. But have you considered a Custom Caps Album with airtities? I use them for my German coins and I love them.
I am considering them, but I'd like to examine one in hand before going that way. Maybe this weekend at NYINC.
