This is a Roman Colonial coin of Viminacium issued by Philip I with reverse of bull and lion during the sixth year of the city. The animals symbolize the two legions stationed there. Mine was one year later in year 7. Viminacium was a full status Colony and issued coins with Latin legends rather than the Greek as used by lesser Provinces. It is a common coin.
MOESIA SUPERIOR, Viminacium. Philip I. AD 244-249. Æ (29mm Dated CY 6 (AD 244/5). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Moesia standing facing, head left; to left, bull standing right; to right, lion standing left; AN VI (date) in exergue. H&J, Viminacium 29; Varbanov 135.

These had little or no variation in reverse type from Gordian to Gallienus.
