So.....This is my first thread. I am a new member to this site, and I am also new to coin hunting/collecting.
So please be patient with me.
I found a 1970 S where the date is what I think is DD and the mint mark S is very obviously struck over another S/D? Not sure?
I want to take a photo and post it here, but never done that before. How do you guys do it?
Special camera? Please help so I can upload it here.

I loaded two photos using my phone and my microscope. It was tough but that is the best I can do.
If I look in the microscope I can see more details. I need to find a better way. Nit sure if this angle is best.

Here is my setup, a broken IPHONE 5 and an Olloclip clip on lens. It does okay for what it is. Reed 834EF0B2-A622-419E-82EE-9C0F3C03B5F6.jpeg CEE423BA-BC61-42AE-BDCA-6916729307FC.jpeg

Not to bad, practice will make it better but the coin will still be a large date. Lol.

Yup see how the bottom of the 970 all line up? If you draw a line across the bottem of them they slant down and to the left.

Thanks for the education. I'm new at this.
But it is still a DD right? or S over D/S?
the "S" is clearly stamped over something else.

Not sure image is kinda so so. It looks like something but? Try to get a clearer image and post it on the errors forum. Lots for members are REALLY into mintmark errors. I’m funny with the errors. I like to only showcase error coins in my collection that can be seen with the unaided eye. Everything else I find goes in a 2X2 and then a box.

Your photos look a lot better than many that are posted here. Unfortunately, I don't see a doubled die or an over-mintmark (OMM). All I see is machine doubling.

The doubling is on the MM and on the date. Both are doubled in the same direction, and the doubling is flat and shelf like. MD

Double Die I know just enough to be dangerous

Here's one of my S/S large date Lincolns for comparison.
