Are you going to be able to put one of the capped bust dimes in the 7070? I like the 1834 best. It looks like a really well struck coin. Too bad about the toning.
Too bad because it's uneven? That's my favorite as well but I like the look overall... just curious what your take was re: the toning.
If it's lustrous it seems it could be a candidate for a dip but I'd worry about the areas around the date and stars hanging on... maybe those were the areas you were referring to.
I personally agree with that and like the look and crust as is. Just always interested in other people's likes/dislikes when it comes to toning to help inform myself when I sell things.
Too bad, because it had a nice strike coupled with the toning. More to say, C-B-D, got a coin that would be a standout on strike alone. Then throw some toning in that appeals to a lot of collectors(evidenced in above posts) and you have a winner. Personally I don't care for the toning. But, I would have still bought the coin with the toning. A nice coin is a nice coin.
