You certainly seem to get some beauties. Just how many coins do you consider before you actually bid on one?
Glad you asked The first half of January is brutal, Heritage/ CNG/ Stacks-Bowers/ New York Sale are all taking place at this time. Being on a "limited" budget/ I check all lots offered on sixbid. I pickout 20 that I really like....also in my affordability range. Honestly, I can go for 5 coins(20K) I also set a limit on my final bid/ so not to get into a bidding war, pay crazy prices. I use, "eye appeal"/plus auction house grade to decide, a CNG graded coin that is CH-EF is sometimes much better quality, then one graded FDC by competitor. I have it in my DNA to want high quality, so its more pricey. Things can get out of hand, when some collectors pay quadruple for a coin in MS-67/ compared to MS-66+ example. John

One man's "limited budget" is another man's lifetime savings. That's if you are lucky. 80% of Americans have NO savings.
Are you building a set? Or are you buying pretty gold coins that you like? I've often wondered that as you post your amazing newps.
